What's Up?

Life is just so crazy, isn't it?  It seems like you have so much to do you couldn't handle even one more thing, you never have time to breathe, and you think that pretty soon it will calm down a little and you can catch up.  But then an amazing thing happens.  You somehow have even more to do!  I'm not sure how it's always possible to stay on top of it all, but it always is.  For sure God is to credit.  Otherwise, it truly would be as impossible as it appears to be.  Maybe you guys can't relate, but probably you can.  I'm not complaining, just...stating.

So what have I been up to?  I wish I could say checking things off of my wedding to-do list.  But that has taken a back seat in my activity and a front seat in that nagging part of my brain that keeps saying "Don't forget!  Don't forget!  You'll run out of time!!"

Last week, in addition to full work days, I co-taught 4 classes to the RN's, then hosted/attended a pretty intense class at the hospital Fri/Sat/Sun from 7AM to 5:30PM every day.  (Can you imagine spending that much time JUST talking about the shoulder?  It's insane, but it was really helpful.)  Thankfully I had taken monday off to catch up on a little sleep and run a couple of errands.

Tuesday I came home from work to find that an "oven-safe" (stupid company) dish had exploded on my mom when she took it out of the oven.  She has a pretty bad burn on her leg.  She said that it was burning through her clothes and she couldn't get them off quick enough.  Doesn't that just make you sad for her?!  Anyways, I got some tips on burn care from our wound care specialist at work and have been trying to help out my mom to heal up.  I'm certainly praying that she doesn't get an infection though!  Poor mom :(

I never get to see Malachi anymore.  It seems like once every 2 weeks now due to our schedules clashing in every way possible.  We're gonna try to get together on Sat night after his class though.  I miss Malachi!

I saw The Proposal and thought it was pretty good!  I want to own that house, but a smaller version.  I can't imagine living in something that large.  Though, Malachi wants to own a castle, so I guess I will just have to make a sacrifice ;) haha.

Just 2 more days of work until I get 2 full days off!  I can't wait!!  Hopefully that means I can get back to the wedding stuff.  Which technically I could be doing right now instead of writing a blog, but we all need some mindless rambling therapy every now and then, right?

Malachi and I are joining the CSA!  It's exciting because when it comes into play and we start getting our boxes of produce, we will be MARRIED!  WAHOOOO!  I will get to see Malachi every day instead of twice a month!  Haha, hopefully THAT changes after this trimester.

Well, the title of this blog post makes me think of the movie "Up" and I just love the Short at the beginning of the film, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it here for all of you to watch and get warm fuzzy feelings :)

Thanks for reading such a long post!

Oh man, poor Glenda! I am so paranoid that is going to happen to me now...all this cooking for Thanksgiving is gonna blow up in my face!

Anyway, love the house in the proposal too. If you own one like that someday, let us use it for our vacations! Which is really just visiting you.
